This workshop is a great build off of the foundations of yoga workshop or your daily yoga practices. We will focus on Aparigraha (nonpossessiveness) a branch of the first limb of yoga. Allowing our bodies to flow in and out of balancing poses, not attaching our minds to any ideals or expectations. With this in mind, we will explore the muscles and alignment associated with each balancing posture. We’ll take some time to offer adjustments, tips and expansions on each pose. Giving ourselves some time to play around in our counterbalance. You’ll see that you’re stronger than you think!
Adding balancing to our practice strengthens and elongates the muscles in the body. Allowing us to find our center of balance and adjust our equilibrium naturally. It in turn builds these equilibrium receptors. Building physical strength by rooting down through the feet and legs. While building mental strength from non attachment, our bodies and our practice are constantly changing. Root down and grow through what you go through.
